Craft
There are so many ways to improve your craft and I find people are good at some things and terrible at others. I'm going to list areas and resources for each. You are to look at just the ones you think you are having trouble with. Trust me, you'll probably look at all of them but for the most bang for your buck start with your weaknesses.

I am dyslexic and one of the hacks I use to read is to predict what the writer will write so I don't have to read as much. Part of that is being familiar with tropes and cliches but also it means I really like past tense. I struggle with present tense as I'm back to when I was a kid. There are advantages and disadvantages to all the different POV and many of the bad things is more about trends. The trend at the moment is First Person Present Tense. If you do Third Person Deep Pov is a trend at the moment.
