Where Science and fiction meet

Updated: Mar 13, 2020

Mary Shelly decided to write Frankenstein after she heard her husband and Lord Byron discussing new scientific techniques that could one day reanimate a corpse. It literally gave her nightmares. A pioneer in Science Fiction Mary Shelly embodies the modern concept of science fiction which is taking something that could be possible and exploring the what-if.

Pick one of these possible disasters that could face humankind and I want you to write a story.

The first step is to ask yourself these questions - this is from the snowflake method of writing.

1. What is the idea behind your story? In this case, it should be about what kind of self-destroying method you have chosen.

2. Who is your hero?

3. Where will your story be set?

Now add to these three elements of plot, character, and setting.

You should be able to write something from that now. If you want to give yourself a challenge I suggest that you write the story into WriteOrDie. If you stop writing it will start deleting your writing.
