Logos: Make a Movie - Part 4

Updated: Mar 13, 2020

Part of your making a movie you will be creating all peripherals that are usually included in making a movie. Here you will be making a logo for your production company. This can be a moving image like you see at the start of a movie or you can make a static one. This will be included as part of your art portfolio board at the end of the year.

If your portfolio board is going to be static then you should go with a still logo like these.

Start off with a name for your company. It should have an element in the name that will guide you in designing your logo.

Create a series of sketches of possible designs. Develop three of them into logos. Sit with the logos for a while. See what others think about it. Take their feedback into consideration and then make a final logo that will be your production company's logo. You need to keep notes with all your images. Discuss the influences and what you were thinking as you designed the logos. Discuss what changes you could possibly make and the flaws of the designs.

This will give you some work towards your portfolio but it can also be used for 91445 Visual Art 4 credits or possibly 91450 Visual Art 4 credits if you are willing to take the logo further and place it into other promotional material like a media pack.
