Guardians of the Galaxy VOL II
This is great for close viewing. I love my super hero movies and there is a lot more to these movies than meet the eye. This movie has recently been on TV so I thought I would do a lesson on it.
Let's do a quick recap.
The art and colours used in this series is very much in contrast to other super hero movies of recent times which have a gritty realism to them. This neon take is supposed to be fun and funny. But that is one of the reason I love films like this.
So the themes I want you to look at is the themes around relationships. We are going to look at one scene that really made everyone totally have the feels.
Relationships can be complicated and forgiving others is more than a little complicated.
What you should do now is to pick a scene that shows the relationship between two of the characters. What is happening? What backstory makes the relationship more difficult? How does the relationship change or progress in the scene? Is there anything holding it back?
Explain how the art and music add to all these feelings?
